Objective:

After working with Malt-O-Meal and MOM Brands for over 10 years, the Post Holdings Company (PHI) – owner of key competitor Post Cereals – purchased the family owned company. PHI then settled on Lakeville Minnesota and the MOM Brands team as the new headquarters for the combined cereal company, now the third largest cereal producer in the world. A new website for the Post Consumer Brands (PCB) was needed and Brave New Media took on the project.

Discovery:

Before we were given the approval to build a sophisticated WordPress multi-site for the company with brand content, we worked closely with stakeholders PCB and PHI to select the correct technology. The latter we worked with to select hosting and key technology partners, like building the store locator and online store.

Design and Development:

To be able to successfully launch the website, both on-time and on budget, it began with researching all of the brands and online brand content, then organizing all the assets for migration. We developed site maps and wireframes as the blueprint of the direction we wanted to go forward with for all key pages and site sections.

Further to that, we managed a detailed work and review process for all brand teams and the corporate stakeholder; this helped define brand standards and online usage for the new PCB company identity, a key goal we wanted to achieve.

The design and layout of every single page on the site was fully multi-lingual and translated in to Spanish. As well as the complete development of the site, we used CMS to develop and manage the creation and modification of digital content. We also took control of all SEO and Analytics, as well as the creative and production of the welcome video for the new home page.

As mentioned earlier, the successful launch on-time and on-budget was our aim, and an aim we achieved with great satisfaction.
